Roots & Kin is an independent hair and scalp studio created by Chloe Wilson, located in the leafy suburb of Weetwood, Leeds.
Using Davines’ BCORP sustainable colour, styling and care systems, I work gently and intentionally, prioritising scalp health, natural movement and hair that complements your lifestyle.
Within a private, homely yet refined setting, every appointment is personalised to meet you exactly where you are that day.
Inspired by nature and the idea of bringing the outside in, the space is designed to feel calm, soft and restorative. A more considered approach to your hair experience.
Meet your stylist
Hairdressing has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My early years, shaped from within my parents’ salon in the 1960s – the sculpted Beehive era where craft, care, and longevity were everything.
I began my career at 14, working alongside my sister in her 1980s-inspired salon. Immersed in shape, curl, and texture – A time of perms, tongs, and beautifully set blow-dries, where structure and form defined the finish.
My time with TONI&GUY, alongside my work as a session stylist across editorial and creative projects, brought a strong technical foundation and the confidence to push boundaries, shaping a style that feels entirely my own.
After nine years building a sustainable salon Masters of Craft, developing and leading a large team, I’ve come full circle, returning to one-to-one, client-focused work. A more intuitive, creative approach, rooted in experience and guided by instinct.
